Tips:
iOS: To find a word on a page in Safari, just type it in the Google search field (top right) and at the bottom of the results, you’ll see “On This Page (x match)”. See screens below…
OS X: Paste and Match Style Shortcut – Command – Option – Shift – V
iOS: When moving apps around in folders, put the folder you’re filling up down in the dock. That way it won’t jump around when you’re dragging from screen to screen.
OS X: Mission Control for Lion, now you can reorder the arrangement of your spaces in Mission Control. You can also create keyboard shortcuts to jump to different desktops. That’s in System Preferences -> Mission Control.
Use “BoxCar App” to add an email rule that will fire off a push notification to your iPhone.
OS X Tip:
iTunes Match tip – it doesn’t matter the source that you bought your music, it will match up in iTunes Match.
Update (11/23/11):
Agile, the makers of 1Password (a previous MBW Pick), is running a 50% off sale. If you don’t have 1Password, now is a good time to get it. Check it out here: https://agilebits.com/store
iOS tip from Chris Breen – Garageband 1.1 has been released. You can now import sound files into Garageband.
iOS tip from Andy Ihnatko – Use parental controls so people can’t turn off “Find My iPhone” feature.
Mac OS X tip from Tonya Engst – Resume feature – control it on a per app basis. Just press Option when you quit an app. That will reverse the default behavior. Also, check out TinkerTool and Resuminator.
iOS: Tabs in Safari iOS… Get “recently closed tabs” by holding down the + in the tab bar in iOS Safari.
OS X: In the app store list of items you purchased, there’s a way to remove items from that list by clicking on “purchased” up top, then hovering over the app you want to delete. A little X will appear. Click it and say “goodbye”.
