I don’t want to be too picky, but the lens Merlin picked was the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 , not the f1.8.

It is a bit of a step up in price, but well worth it IMO — it’s a fantastic piece of glass.
If you want to see a *really* big jump, check out the 50mm L-series lens. Crazy expensive.
