  • iOS: When traveling with hit and miss connectivity – cache maps (or anything on the screen) by taking a screenshot (press home button and power button at the same time – you’ll see a screen flash and a camera click) … from Chris Breen.
  • OSX: In the Finder while doing a Spotlight search, you can choose specifics while you type in your search info.  For example, start typing a work and you’ll see “file name” as a choice.  There are a few different things to search on (type, name, date, etc) from Jason Snell.

  • iOS: Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Turn on Zoom.  Now when you tap with 3 fingers, everything zooms in really big.
  • OS X: Make a user agreement for your Mac.  Just make a text document named PolicyBanner.txt, or .rtf, and pop it in the /Library/Security folder.  Now when a user logs in, they have to acknowledge your policy.
